For those of you who don’t live in New York or work anywhere new Midtown, the Super Bowl has flooded NYC. While overwhelming and a little problematic while getting to work, it is still inspirational to see so many diehard, hardcore fans who haven’t stopped wearing fan gear since they arrived, who will brave the cold to see their team play, and who carry so much devotion toward the sport.
Yesterday, Blisstree editor Joanna and I watched several football players–namely, Jamaal Charles of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins of the Washington Redskins, and ESPN Analyst/three time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth–make healthy shakes for Nutrilite. It was fun! And they were very good looking and very polite and very good looking, but also really awesome to talk to about diet and exercise.
And what better way for me to celebrate the Super Bowl than to combine it with one of my oldest ones: makeup. Since Mandie will be doing a Denver Broncos makeup tutorial later, I figured I would do the team whose city I’ve lived closest to (which is a dumb reason, but whatever): the Seattle Seahawks. Here’s the team’s logo:
Bright green, deep blue, white and grey–great colors to play with.
Pre-makeup: I started off with a freshly washed and moisturized face.
Step 1: I applied Lorac POREfection Foundation in PR1 mixed with a bit of La Prairie Cellular Swiss Ice Crystal Cream, then dotted on a bit of Josie Maran Argan Creamy Concealer Crayon in Fair 1 under my eyes and on blemishes. I swirled around the Make Up For Ever 124 Brush in Make Up For Ever‘s new HD Pressed Powder, tapped it on a table to get excess off, then swept it all over my face and neck. I added a bit of Smashbox Halo Longwear Blush in Peachy Dream to my cheeks, then spritzed Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray on top.
Step 2: I used a matte white shadow, glo minerals in Opal, all of my lids. Then, I applied a deep navy shadow from Tarte on my crease and swept outward. Then, I drew on Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner in Freak halfway across my lids from the inner corners and dotted a bit of Cargo Eyeshadow in Green Bay on top. I used Freak again underneath my eyes on the lower lashline as well as a bit of Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Liner in Covet and in Mainline halfway from the outer corner to the middle of the lid. I used a bit of Palladio Eye Liner in White on my inner corners and waterline to brighten up the look.
Step 3: I drew a thin line of Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner in Perversion, then winged it outward.
I added two coats of Hourglass Film Noir Mascara in Onyx. I combed my brows and filed them in a bit with Prestige Brow Perfection Ideal Match Marbleized Brow Pencil in Medium/Deep.
Step 4: Using Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Naked2, I filled in my lips and defined their shape, then added a bit of L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Lipstick in Sheer Linen. Tada!
