The Oscars are approaching, like where did February go? And I’m predicting that it will be quite the battle between nominees: Amy Adams and Cate Blanchett in attaining a golden trophy of honor. While the actresses are preparing how they will accept their glowing accolades, I’m predicting who will appear on the best and worst lists for beauty recognition. Also, I’m intensely debating whether I should bake chocolate chip cookies or M&M brownies for my Oscars party (aka me, red wine and a comfy couch). Brownies with frosting are indisputable and yet, I have quite the weakness for cookie dough in all of its sinfully raw glory.
Putting aside my melodrama momentarily, I am also envisioning my girl-crush, Amy to be a complete knock out come March 2nd. Typically, the American Hustle star tends to achieve a very natural, elegant look to complement the brilliance that is her hair. So, it is time to commence my inner makeup artist and hair stylist because here’s how I imagine she’ll arrive at the Oscars, using some of my favorite products from ULTA Beauty.
While she sometimes chooses a bright red lipstick, I think she’ll go for a more pale, neutral, barely there shade, like Essence Lipstick in Look At Me.
Although my personal tendency is a rosey colored blush, Amy tends to stick toward a very subtle baby pink. Hence, I will paint her cheeks with ULTA’s “pressed mineral” blush.
I think Amy will use a dark mascara, a look that can be achieved using a product like Benefit Cosmetics “they’re real,” for lash extension and contrast. Paired with a gentle eyeshadow of a golden shade, like ULTA’s “Aztec Gold.”
I foresee Amy wearing her hair down with long, loose curls, best achieved using an iron like Ultra Chi 1″ curling iron.
