There are a plethora of masks to choose from including knit masks, hydrogel masks, emoji masks and even masks made out of gold leaf. However, no mask is quite like the Hanacure All-in-One Facial Mask ($29). The mask has recently gone viral thanks to the “Hanacure Effect” which sees the mask literally pulling your skin to help lift and target the signs of aging.

While Fresh has a serum that was dubbed “a corset for your skin” and there are chin sheet masks that pull your skin taught, the Korean beauty brand’s All-in-One Facial takes things to the next level. How, you ask? The liquid mask has a constricting-like effect that helps your complexion defy gravity once you apply it. If that sounds a bit confusing, it basically pulls your face around as it dries. There is even an Instagram account solely dedicated to the “Hanacure Effect” to demonstrate just what it does. While most of the people wearing the mask look distressed, it is usually the result of the mask working its magic as opposed to people being in pain and/distress.

Each Facial Kit comes with a Lifting Serum Ampoule, Gelling Pack and brush. To use the Hanacure All-In-One Facial mask, you mix the Lifting Serum with the Gelling Pack solution to create the “Purifying Compound.” You shake this for 20 seconds until is starts to foam. You’re then able to paint the mask onto your face with the kit’s included brush. You then wait for the mask to dry for about 30 minutes.

As the mask dries, it is recommended that you minimize facial movements. You can also fan your face to increase the intensity. When the time is up and the mask is dry, you can rinse it off and go admire the results in the mirror.

While it might not look like much when it’s in a compound form, the mask also promises to hydrate, nourish, brighten, firm, detoxify and soothe as it fights the signs of aging.

If you’re curious about just how effective the mask is or you’re just intrigued by what it feels like to have your face pulled by a mask, you can pick up a Starter Kit for $29 on the brand’s website or you can go all out and get the Set for $110 that contains four treatments. Just be aware that given the hype around the mask, there are a lot of people who want to get their faces “pulled” so good luck getting one before they all go.
