Neil Armstrong, the first man to ever step on the moon, died today at 82 years old. Although we are a blog that focuses on more lady-related items, it seemed wrong not to acknowledge the death of not only a pioneer, but a dreamer. Lots of people dream about going into outer space; but only few actually see that dream become a reality.

Shortly after he and his fellow astronauts landed the Apollo 11 on the moon on July 20, 1969, one of the most daring and exciting feats of the time, history was made. It was over a live broadcast that those who were alive at the time that will never forget the words Armstrong said the moment his foot stepped down on the moon that day: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” He was right.

In that instant, everyone realized no matter how big or even impossible your dreams may seem, if we can get Armstrong on the moon, anything, and I mean anything is possible.

Here are some other great quotes from a man who’s been to a place not many of us will ever go, but inspired in all of us to never give up on making our personal dreams a reality. Dear Mr. Armstrong, you will be missed.
