I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in having happy childhood memories about the Gashlycrumb Tinies by Edward Gorey. I only wish I could have followed it up with Avery Monsen and Jory Jones All My Friends Are Dead. Dinosaurs, zombies and clowns weigh in on their complaints about life. I wish this in large part because, as a child, I was convinced that clowns were devil people who were born looking that way and this book confirms that I’m correct.  If any of you have kids (Lindsay, this post is for you, pretty much) then I think you should get them this book. Because clowns have feelings, too. – Trendhunter
