Attention, fellow word nerds: for the first time in its history, Scrabble is officially changing their rules and allowing proper nouns to count in the game. Proper nouns, for those of you who aren’t grammar geeks, are nouns (people, places, or things) that are specific. For example, “university” is a noun, “Harvard” is a proper noun. The new change will allow company names and brand names as well. The change was apparently made to encourage young people to play the game. They will also sell a board for people who do not like their Scrabble game all newfangled.
