Los Angeles prosecutors have charged a man with trespassing after his arrest this weekend at the home of Miley Cyrus. Jason Luis Rivera had been trying to force his way inside during the early hours of the morning by, apparently, throwing himself against a wall. Chillingly, he was also carrying a pair of scissors. Cyrus wasn’t home at the time, but a friend who was housesitting notified the authorities.
When confronted by police, Rivera claimed to be her husband:
Unique to this case, Rivera did not appear to be intoxicated and has made no apology for his actions. “He thinks they were married,” said Lt. Brian Wendling. “I would say delusional is a good characterization of him.”
This is scary stuff and we hope Cyrus is doing all right.
A city attorney’s spokesman says Rivera was charged Monday with two counts of trespassing and one count of resisting arrest. He plead not guilty.
