It seems that everywhere you turn these days, there’s a zombie waiting to pop up and scare the bejesus out of you. I found this out the hard way after my fiance got into the blessedly short-lived AMC series, “The Walking Dead,” and now, it appears as though the phenomenon has made it’s way to Cuba.
Personally, I don’t understand the appeal. I can certainly appreciate a good vampire story — those usually have hot sex, as well as profound human-vampire love stories, and occasionally a very classy murder. But zombies? With the way they rip people apart? Well, that’s just tacky.
But, as my very own loved one proved, not everyone thinks the way I do. Does this mean that zombies are going to be the new vampires? Could it really all come to this?
