I don’t know about you, but I find Prince William just charming. Charming. In addition to the fact that he married that classy, classy broad, he just seems kind of…nice. And awesome.

Anyway, this feeling that I have was cemented by an action that I refuse to believe was done by any PR team — he posted this favorite picture of him and his grandmother on the website Historypin, in honor of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee (a.k.a., the longest jubilee ever. What is a jubilee, anyway?).

He also wrote the following touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth:

Taking part in the Sovereign’s Parade at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is a moment I will never forget. After a very demanding 44 week course, it was a memorable celebration of personal and collective achievement for everyone concerned. I felt especially proud to receive my commission as an officer in front of my grandmother, The Queen. She has been an incredible role model to me over the years, so it was very special to have her present for my graduation.

Adorbs. Well played, Kate Middleton.
