I mean, Snooki‘s resolutions themselves aren’t that strange. It’s the order in which they occur that is strange.

In this video Snooki states:

“I’ve been thinking about my New Year’s resolutions. You ask people all the time and they say, “lose weight, make money, be a better person, blah, blah, blah” and that’s exactly my resolution every single year.”

And I thought, oh, she’s going to do something different! Well, that makes sense. A lot of people want to break out of their usual rut and concentrate on a more specific goal. Probably a good plan.
Snooki continued:

‘I want to make money, I want to be a better person, and I feel like I try to accomplish that but this year it’s a must.

Ah! So… not actually different at all. So, your resolution is exactly the same, and it is to lose weight and make money. Well, that is perhaps not the same as the Dalai Lama’s, but, okay. But then, weirdly, as if as an afterthought, she remarks:

‘My second resolution is to make Lorenzo the happiest baby ever, be his best friend and the best mom he can ever have

I really think she could have lead with that instead of starting with “this year making more money and losing weight is a must.” But I guess part of being a baby’s best friend is being a size zero who keeps trim by swimming through a pool of gold coins, so, they kind of go hand in hand.
