It’s a rare occurrence for one quote to stand out above all other quotes in a given week. After all, plenty of people say plenty of interesting shit, right?
But this week, it’s been done. It is perhaps not surprising that this honor goes to one Anna Chapman, the woman accused of being a Russian spy in the U.S., who went on to pose for her country’s edition of Maxim after being deported.
Chapman now hosts a Russian TV show called Secrets of the World, and this week, she was interviewed by the BBC for the first time since her arrest. And when the reporter asks her directly about her past as a secret agent, she replies as follows:
“Who told you I was an agent?…As I said before, numerous times, I will never deny, and I will never confirm the fact.”
