In case you, like me, did not get the memo the first time around, there are some videos and a Twitter feed called  “Shit Girls Say.” Created by Toronto-based writers Kyle Humphrey and Graydon Sheppard, they feature…well, things that girls are prone to saying. I.e., “Could you pass me that blanket?” and “You know what? That’s not OK.”

The language and inflection is definitely that of a stereotypical young, middle- to upper-middle-class, English-speaking woman, so it certainly doesn’t represent the linguistic habits of American or Canadian girls as a whole. And while I think this video gets a little more into “shit that both boys and girls say” territory than its predecessor, I’ll be the first to admit that in my not-so-finest moments, I’ve been guilty of entreating my partner to “smell this,” proclaiming parts of conversations “not fair,” and questioning the hummus-ness of a snack.
