Emma Watson loves bagels! And it’s news! I guess it’s okay, though, since they don’t serve bagels in Britain. Or Europe for that matter. Actually, bagels kind of suck when they’re not in America. So welcome, Emma Watson. Welcome to America. We’re glad you like our bagels.

Emma, who is now a sophomore studying at Brown University, recently told People.com about her new infatuation with bagels. She says:

“Bagels – they’re the best thing ever! Americans just love variety; there’s so much choice, it’s overwhelming. But I love trying the blueberry and raisin and cinnamon bagels. Luckily, I exercise a lot.”

We do love variety. But Emma, you haven’t even tried the best bagels yet. And no need for exercising a lot, because a bagel is really only around 300 calories (unless you’re a sinner and scoop out the best and most important part of the bagel). The spreads you add to your delicious bagel (cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, scrambled eggs, icing…) can determine how healthy it is. You can also choose a whole wheat flavor if you want to add some extra fiber to your diet. But really, bagels aren’t about health. They’re about enjoying life. And enjoying America. So try an everything bagel, or an asiago cheese, or a french toast bagel, or a chocolate chip bagel (it’s suggested to put strawberry cream cheese on this one). So step outside the box, Emma. Rid yourself of the attraction to yucky blueberry bagels and try real variety. And stop being so darn likeable.
