As you head to the beach this summer, there’s something you should probably know before you set foot in the water. There was once such a thing as a “sea monster.” Researchers in Peru found the teeth of a beast they believe was three times the size of a killer whale. According to CNN: “The teeth of ‘Leviathan Melvillei’ were so large it was initially assumed they were elephant tusks.” That’s an artist’s rendition of it at left.
