Jessica Chastain has turned in a string of startling performances since landing on Hollywood’s radar with Tree of Life–she’s been hugely in demand as an actress ever since. She’s also drawn a lot of attention for her good style, something Vogue apparently noticed: the magazine’s December cover dropped today and Chastain has the featured spot. She looks incredible.
So, in honor of Chastain’s arrival as a bona fide fashion star, here’s a sampling of some of our favorite red carpet looks she’s worn since coming out of nowhere in 2011.
The Tree of Life premieres at Cannes–this was the first time we ever saw Chastain (and probably the same for a lot of the fashion blogging public) and we noticed.
That same year, Chastain wore another showstopping gown to the festival.
Damn! It’s kind of unfair to everyone else when beautiful redheads wear bold greens.
Chastain’s rightly loved Alexander McQueen gown at the 2012 Academy Awards.
Doing the oft-absued Old Hollywood right in Cannes.
What she wore to sit front row at Saint Laurent.
In form-fitting, sparkly Balenciag–a standard red carpet look but far from boring.
At the British Academy Film Award earlier this year, Chastain wore this stunning blue.
And our money for Chastain’s best look ever: this year’s Oscars in Armani Prive.
