Today’s Cannes Film Festival red carpet roundup features the Weekend of a Champion, All Is Lost and Only God Forgives premieres–expect intricate beading, embellishment, some top fashion models and a whole lot of sparkle.
As in, multiple disco ball dresses.
Araya A. Hargate did glitter fringe. We’re not crazy about that particular halter neck but we’re surprised to like the rest of it.
Lily Donaldson did Sophia Loren-style opulent glamor, crucifix and all.
Kat Graham‘s retro wave feels a touch over the top, but she sure looks nice in tangerine and cream.
Carly Steel was a disco ball!
Barbara Palvin wore a toned-down version of Lily’s dress back there, but sure as hell toned up the makeup with electric orange eyes.
Milla Jovovich, just amazing in beaded Armani Prive.
We love Milla and we love black and blue together, so we’re real biased. But whatever. She’s untouchable.
Kristin Scott Thomas looked wonderful and sparkly.
Astrid Berges Frisbey (and Gemma Arterton lookalike?) was way pretty in Chanel.
Supermodels take over, ahead…
Elsa Zylberstein. We love a high-necked gown when the fit is right, so this is pretty cool with us.
Zhang Ziyi wore the biggest peplum of all.
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR.
Liu Wen looked spectacular in Roberto Cavalli. That amazing minimal makeup job! That color! That neckline!
Alessandra Ambrosio wore the festival’s other disco ball.
Rosario Dawson. Guess how we feel about this.
We tried to find a (full body) photo of French model Anais Monory because the harsh daylight here doesn’t do her near enough justice. She’s stunning and so is this color on her.
Li Yuchun. Better than the fringe and bell bottoms from yesterday’s roundup.
Petra Nemcova removed her extensions from earlier this week (and smoothed out her roots?). She did “old Hollywood” glamour in a beaded peach gown.
