Salts – Epsom and sea salts help detoxify skin. If you tend to have oily skin, or your feet always seem too “hard”, adding salts to your bath will surely help take care of the problem.
Essential Oils – This can be anything from lavender oil for relaxation, to lemon oil for invigoration, but add a few drops to the tub while the water’s running and the scents will take care of all your needs.
Honey – Cleopatra knew of the joy of honey way back in the day, and nothing’s changed. I know that these days it’s a little more expensive, but honey’s great for soothing irritated skin, softening, and detoxifying. (Tip: Use honey especially when you’re using oils in the tub, and it will keep the oil from sitting on the surface of the water! Mix them together before adding to the water.)
Mineral Oil, Olive Oil or Baby Oil – SUPER soft skin on the way when you drizzle a little of any of these oils into your bath water. Use caution, because you don’t need too much, and the more you use, the less bubbles you’ll get should you choose to add them.
Bath Fizzies – Whether you purchase them or make them yourself, bath fizzies/bath bombs add soft bubbles and can release wonderful aromas and essential oils into your bath.
Milk. Yes, milk. – It’s actually best to use milk powder, but milk has VERY cooling, soothing effects on skin. If your skin is super sensitive, or you spent a little too long in the tanning bed, milk will help take care of what ails you.
