Alicia Vikander may be an Oscar winner now, but that doesn’t mean she’s above getting her groove on for the Interwebs. But I suppose it’s always more fun to dance when you’re showing off some seriously cool Louis Vuitton handbags, right?
The brand’s celebrity muse since July 2015, Alicia is the face of LV’s campaign for their new handbag, The Twist. They posted a few photos from the campaign on their Instagram, including the one above:
While she is, of course, not entirely makeup-free, they kept her looking natural, leaving it up to the bag to draw all of the attention.
The Twist, a crossbody bag that appears to come in a whole slew of different styles, each with long leather-and-chain shoulder strap, is named as such for the way the clasp works. At first observation, it just appears to be the brand’s logo embossed on the front, much in the same way that Tory Burch adorns many of her flats with her logo. But the logo is actually a clasp, with the “L” clipping into the “V” in order to open it. You can see both the bag and Alicia in action in the accompanying video for the campaign:
After her custom yellow Oscars gown, I thought Alicia had reached peak Louis Vuitton, but it’s always nice to be proven wrong, especially when that proof is such a pretty mini bag. The Twist collection includes wallets, bracelets, and small, medium, and large crossbody bags, ranging in price from $405 to $27,900 (seriously). So, while it’s probably out of all of our budgets, it’s still fun to look at. And isn’t that what fashion is all about?
