Obviously, celebrities are at an advantage when it comes to getting that perfect Halloween costume, but the people behind those designs are often the ones that create the most masterful getups for the best of all holidays.
From designers to supermodels, photographers to bloggers, there were so many amazing Halloween costumes from those in the fashion industry. Here are some of our favorites (and some that were kind of cool, even if they weren’t costumes):
I mean, obviously Ms. Heidi Klum killed it.
As one might have expected, David Blond and Phillip Blond did an incredible job.
Oh my god, so good.
Marchesa designers Keren Craig and Georgina Chapman had two of my favorite costumes ever, going as a Hitchcock-inspired duo a la The Birds and Psycho. AMAZING. They win.
Jay Manuel, not entirely sure what you went as but good god, it’s awesome. And so are your cheekbones.
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince looked awesome (and totally unrecognizable) together.
Adam Levine and Victoria’s Secret model Behati Prinsloo went vampiric and creepy in these Eyes Wide Shut-esque costumes.
Alexa Chung tweeted this with the caption “nun of the usual crap.” Into it.
Sophie Turner didn’t exactly dress up.
Joanna Krupa was a sexy angel. While predictable, it’s still a cool costume overall.
Stylist June Ambrose went all out and it really paid off.
Check out the next page to see how one of our favorite models ever pulled off a Whoville costume, how two designers went as a set of creeptacular mice, and how one model looked incredible all in sequins.
Miyoshi Rheberg and photographer Jamie McCarthy went for the “sexy cop & criminal” thing. I desperately need to know where she gets her fashion tape because oh my god, you go girl on keeping everything perfectly in place.
Model Chanel Iman had both amazing makeup and amazing nails…
AGH. So cool.
I know it’s hard to tell from this pic, but Project Runway producer Desiree Gruber‘s makeup was awesome.
Photographers Dimitrios Kambouris and Michael Loccisano looked half terrifying, half adorable.
Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva went for a cutesy Barbie (?) look at Heidi Klum’s party.
Remember Shaun Ross, the male model we totally love? He did an incredible Whoville costume. I love when people commit with solid makeup and wardrobe and hair. And attitude, naturally.
Dean Caten and Dan Caten of DSQUARED2 were terrifying/awesome mice.
Jessica White looked incredible as a showgirl. Loving the contrast between her wig and costume.
Cory Kennedy and Alexandra Richards looked cute and comfortable as Buzz Lightyear and the Cowardly Lion.
Lucky Editor-In-Chief went as Lisbeth from The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and proved that the details are what really make costumes great.
Piercings, tattoos — all of it. A+.
Designer Austin Scarlett somehow made a fireman costume ultra-serious and fashionable.
Model Lindsay Ellingson channeled her inner Grease.
I had a feeling Ireland Baldwin would do Halloween awesomely. I love her Wednesday Addams costume.
…And her Instagrams of the night.
Let’s end on the Christian Siriano as Tinkerbell note, shall we?
