Beyonce GQ cover high res

Yesterday, a crummy cell phone shot of an alleged upcoming GQ cover leaked, starring Beyonce, or perhaps more accurately, Beyonce’s hips and “underboob.” Turns out it’s the February issue and we can have a better look now. Along with snippets of the interview.

And, yes, indeed it appears Beyonce is “starring” in a Sexiest Women of the Century issue, which we suppose means she is… the sexiest woman of the century? The lede on GQ’s feature is actually “this is the sexiest woman of the last 13 years.” Huh.

If Beyonce being photographed by Terry Richardson wasn’t a huge enough reason to eyeroll at this whole celebrity circlejerk, here’s a quote from her interview, on why she’ll be performing at the Half Time show:

“One of the reasons I connect to the Super Bowl is that I approach my shows like an athlete,” she told the magazine. “You know how they sit down and watch whoever they’re going to play and study themselves? That’s how I treat this. I watch my performances, and I wish I could just enjoy them, but I see the light that was late. I see, ‘Oh God, that hair did not work.’ Or ‘I should never do that again.’ I try to perfect myself. I want to grow, and I’m always eager for new information.”

One of the reasons she “connects” to the Super Bowl is that Pepsi, who’s sponsoring it, paid her 50 million dollars. Also, we don’t know how critiquing one’s own hair means one approaches things like “an athlete.”

Anyway. You can’t say anything bad about Beyonce on the internet, so here’s another shot:
