Even Beyonce's Onstage Wardrobe Malfunction Was Better Than Anybody Else's Could Be

You know that scene in Mean Girls where Cady, Janice, and Damian cut holes in Regina George’s tank top so everyone can see her bra, but then she just turns around and makes it look cool? Minus the mean girl-ness, Beyonce somehow always manages to do just that. During a concert on Saturday in New York City, her shirt opened up and she experienced what the world has come to know as a wardrobe malfunction, but she nevertheless made it look easy as anything to keep doing her job.

Beyonce performed at the Global Citizen Festival on the Great Lawn of Central Park wearing a fun, sexy getup by Dolce&Gabbana that featured high-waisted trousers, a lacy blouse, and a beautiful statement necklace. At some point, her dance moves and the stitching on her shirt came into conflict, thus leading to it splitting open and revealing her bra. Bey quickly covered up, yet stayed singing, dancing, and performing, which is exactly three things more than I would be able to do under the same circumstances.

If you’re interested in seeing the exact progression of what happens, the Daily Maill has all the photos, but it was apparently so quick that people didn’t even notice while watching her perform. While there was no nip slip here, it’s still amazing just how quickly Bey fixed the error and stayed in performance mode while doing so.

Even though Bey occasionally tempts a wardrobe malfunction, it is rare that her outfits look anything but exactly the way they’re supposed to. Leave it to her to make this look so good, it could be borderline intentional.
