Blake Lively has been wowing us more than usual with her amazing fashion choices. Not only has she been looking gorgeous, she has also been showing us that things you might consider to be unwearable are actually really cool. For example, she recently proved you can dress like a sexy saloon girl when it isn’t Halloween and she made everyone reconsider their ban on printed jeans with this painted floral pair. For Blake’s latest lesson, she taught us that tropical print jumpsuits totally work when you’re not on vacation.
Blake is doing the rounds to promote her new film Age Of Adaline and appeared on Live! With Kelly And Michael. Despite staying up until the wee hours of the morning playing with jewelry (see below) she looked flawless. She wore a strapless palm tree print Sam & Lavi jumpsuit from her Preserve website and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry. Blake even managed to carry the tropical chic theme into the shoes with a pair of Charlotte Olympia heels decorated with tiny leopard heads.
Normally palm tree jumpsuits are only appropriate if you’re sitting next to a pool wearing a big floppy hat and sipping a fruity cocktail. If you wear one when you’re not close to a pool or the ocean, it can look a bit weird. Blake proved it is possible to wear one in the city and not look like a very confused traveler.
Of course we have to talk about the hair. Blake wore her golden locks in a half-up style with the front section twisted and pinned back. It’s a bit retro and it is a much better choice than vacation-friendly pigtails.
What do you think of Blake’s look? Are you tempted to try a leaf-print jumpsuit? Even if you’re not going on vacation, you can at least pretend you are with a tropical print.
