Congratulations, America! We have finally found someone who is possibly more disliked internationally than we are. 2,717 European travelers were polled about national habits abroad by, and here are some of the findings:

  • 36 percent said that British people were the worst-dressed tourists, followed by the Germans and the Americans, respectively. That horrible socks-with-sandals look got a particular mention.
  • The Italians won the best-dressed prize. Not a shocker, considering they come from the land of Prada, Gucci, and Valentino.
  • Apparently, the French are the worst about constantly looking at work email while on vacation.
  • 93 percent of Brits say that they attempt to speak the local language wherever they travel, while 20 percent of French people say they make no effort at all.
