Priscilla Chan took sophistication and classiness to the next level when she wore a sleeveless Claire Pettinbone wedding gown for her May nuptials, and ever since then, other brides have been looking to follow suit: Pettibone recently announced that sales at her flagship stores increased by 300% after Chan and Zuckerberg’s big day.
Chan’s $4,700 dress was called “Sky Between the Branches,” and featured laser-cut floral design with a delicate overlay. The rest of Pettibone’s bridal lookbook is full of uber-feminine, almost whimsical designs, of which Chan’s appears to be among the most understated.
Within the next few months, Pettibone told CNN that she’ll be selling her designs with new retailers, moving her runway show to a larger location and filling orders with lightening speed.
“There’s nothing for business like a celebrity bride,” she said.
