H&M just keeps delivering good stuff lately. The Swedish brand pretty much won Paris Fashion Week with its Fall 2016 Studio collection full of cool layering pieces, and their new Spring 2016 campaign images have us counting down the days until the collection is released on March 17. Now, H&M is bringing us more good news: Caitlyn Jenner teaming up with H&M on a sport campaign.
Rumors have been swirling around for awhile that Caitlyn was working with H&M. On Thursday, Caitlyn took to Twitter to reveal that she has in fact been working with the brand. She wrote:
“Backstage with @hm! So proud to be part of their inspiring #HMSport campaign. #MoreIsComing #StayTuned”
She accompanied the tweet with a behind-the-scenes photo of herself wearing a black zip-up jacket, leggings, and black and white sneakers. H&M also shared its own tweet. The brand wrote:

Neither tweet reveals a lot. They both tease us that more is coming soon. Caitlyn has not officially been named as the new face of H&M sport in either one of them, but it is looking very likely that she is. If you’re going to place a bet, that is the way to go. Remember, she is an Olympian.
If that is in fact the case, Caitlyn would be the second Jenner to model for the brand. Kendall Jenner modeled for H&M first when she appeared in the Balmain x H&M collaboration campaign and she even walked in the brand’s Paris Fashion Week Show for the Spring/Summer 2015 season.
Caitlyn could also be collaborating with H&M on a line of athletic clothes and accessories. H&M has collaborated with celebrities in addition to designers. Remember the Madonna partnership? We also cannot forget about the David Beckham one.
Whatever Caitlyn’s role is with H&M it is another huge step in establishing herself in the fashion and beauty industries. The H&M announcement comes weeks after it was revealed that she was collaborating with MAC Cosmetics. Caitlyn is working on a lipstick called “Finally Free” that will launch on April 7 with 100% of the proceeds going to the AIDS Fund Transgender Initiative.
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out the full details of how H&M and Caitlyn are working together, but whatever is going on, it is going to be great. It’s brilliant for a massive brand like H&M to be working with at trans person, whether it for modeling, designing or another campaign. To keep with the sports theme, you can say that the pairing is a slam dunk.
