Let’s be honest, summer festivals aren’t about the music anymore, they are all about the fashion. The muddy fields of Coachella and Glastonbury have become the cool kid’s version of the red carpet. Celebs have managed to blend high fashion, with a bit of practicality, a sprinkle of boho and a dash of “WTF were they thinking?” to give us plenty of memorable style moments. Since you probably can’t afford the ticket price for one weekend of Coachella (not including the airfare), you can at least look through these photos of celebrities in the VIP tents, and get some ideas for your local summer concert outfit.
Check out 20 of the best celebrity summer festival fashion looks:
1. Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens is the hippie princess of festivals. An entire post could be dedicated to her festival fashion. These frilly white separates are one of my favorite looks, even if they are very impractical for a muddy field.
2. Kate Bosworth
It looks like Kate Bosworth isn’t afraid of festival whites either. I love these matching eyelets pieces, so I really hope she was able to wear them more than once and didn’t destroy them at Coachella.
3. Alessandra Ambrosio Alessandra Ambrosio is clearly a fan of sun hats. Look, she has three of them! Staying protected at a festival is essential.
Rihanna‘s spiked stud jean shorts are the perfect thing to wear to a festival to ensure people won’t bump into you. Smart thinking.
Lucy Hale knows that a romper is waaaaaay more practical than a dress. Someone should have told her to keep her bracelets at home, unless she wants to lose half of them.
6. Kelly Osbourne
7. Sienna Miller
I don’t care what what anyone says, this is not Glastonbury 2013. This has to be 2005, during Sienna Miller‘s boho prime.
If you don’t want to wear a hat at a festival, try a flower headband like Bella Thorne. I suggest doing a few micro braids too.
9. Diane Kruger
Diane Kruger and
Pacey Joshua Jackson manage to wear coordinating hats and not look like a dorky brother and sister. Bravo.
Kendall Jenner‘s outfit looks like something someone could have worn to the first Coachella. Hmmm…I wonder if Kris Jenner was at the inaugural event and Kendall stole this from her?
I am impressed with AnnaSophia Robb’s matching. She even made a floral headband to go with her striped dress and sunglasses.
13. Kate Moss
The boots and long layers make it really obvious that Kate Moss is at Glastonbury and not Coachella. That sparkly jacket rocks, and it probably won’t show the dirt.
14. Poppy Delevingne
I don’t care about Cara Delevingne or Sienna Miller, I just want to know how Poppy Delevingne managed to make a high-waisted bikini, leather jacket and kooky sunglasses look so good.

16. Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner gives us a lesson on how to wear unusual accessories including fanny packs, chain harnesses and feather shoulder pads.
I think Beyoncé‘s urban boho cowgirl look was what Rita Ora was trying to do, but she didn’t quite pull it off. Bey wisely went with leather and lace instead of a cow print.
18. Dita Von Teese
Dita Von Teese wins the award for the chicest festival attendee ever. You’ll never see her in customized jorts and rain boots.
19. Emma Watson
I don’t know how comfortable Emma Watson‘s sweaty corset would be, but it’s nice to see someone wear something that isn’t a crop top.
20. Nicole Richie
While the jury is still out on whether Nicole Richie left her pants in her tent, we can all agree that this is the right way to do boho chic, pants or no pants.
