Last night, Chanel threw a big splashy party in honor of the Tribeca Film Festival–the Chanel TriBeCa Film Festival “Artists Dinner,” specifically–and it was attended by a bunch of legitimately famous actresses/fashion people and also a bunch of people famous for going to things like Chanel parties.
Guess who’s who and see what they wore, below.
Kiernan Shipka, actress, wore a really cool dress!
Also, she has a quilted Chanel bag, like all famous children.
Alexa Chung, It Girl and, nebulously, “designer” (collaborator?), did an orange-red lip and had beautiful hair.
Model and Hemingway progeny Dree Hemingway took a very Fashion approach and wore an oxford under her feathered dress, which she paired with patent shoes.
To which we say:
Model and Elvis progeny Riley Keough wore a cute tweed dress and really good t-straps. Also, awesome hair.
Shala Monroque usually looks incredible but… the bedazzled Birkenstocks and giant Beetle bolo are really throwing us.
Julie Delpy looked extremely babely and carried the obligatory quilted Chanel bag. We like her cat’s eye.
Sophie Auster, a singer per Wikipedia, wore the most inexplicably textured pants. Were they made of rubber?
Why, yes. Yes there are more on Page 2.
Julia Restoin Roitfeld looked so French we can’t even deal with it.
Newly blonde and bobbed Leigh Lezark really resembles ’90s Kate Moss, doesn’t she? We’re not crazy about the dress but she looks pretty radiant.
Super-editor (and street style superstar) Giovanna Battaglia did a busy dress just right: minimal accessories, great-but-not-distracting pumps, and a beautiful bold lip. The POP OF COLOR handbag is a little obvious but whatever.
Taraji P. Henson‘s metallic pumps were a touch cheesy but that dress is crazy flattering. Like the berry lip on her, too.
Radha Mitchell wore NIGHT TWEED.
And Joan Smalls, predictably, looked spectacular. Not to fawn too much, but the makeup is perfect, grey looks fantastic on her and those are some excellent sandals.
