Nude doesn’t mean one color. It references a unique shade that “disappears” on different skin tones. While there are a number of different makeup products to help all skin tones find the perfect nude lipstick or nail polish, it can be much harder to find the perfect nude in fashion. Often, we only have two or three color options. That is why it’s brilliant Christian Louboutin is changing the game with its new nude heeled sandals, the Christeriva and the Cherrysandal.
The shoe brand launched its Nudes collection back in 2013 with a collection of pumps available in five different flattering shade. Since then, it has expanded to include seven different colors. Now, the range has been made even bigger to include the two types of heeled sandals.
The Christeriva ($875) is a delicate ballet-inspired stiletto complete with grosgrain ribbon wraps around the ankle and a woven design on the toe area. The Cherrysandal ($895) is the chunkier of the two with a thick platform and heel, and an ankle-strap buckle.
Both of the new styles are available in the seven neutral shades (Lea Nue, Nats, Ada, Maya, Toudou and Safki), and they are available in multiple different size options, including half sizes.
While both the Christeriva and Cherrysandal may come in different nude shades, all of the options in the collection still feature the brand’s signature red soles. No matter your “nude,” you still have to have that iconic sole.
