It wasn’t just the Game Of Thrones season five premiere and the MTV Movie Awards, it was also the first weekend of Coachella this weekend. As per usual, celebrities embraced the boho look. They brought out their jean shorts and raided their jewelry boxes for every accessory they had. It was a competition to see who could show the most leg and who could pile on the most accessories. Don’t worry maxi skirt lovers, there were a few celebs who competed to see who could have the swishest maxi skirt.
Check out all things bohemian from the first weekend of Coachella:
The Kardashian-Jenners don’t do dirty hippie, they do glamorous bohemian, which in Kendall Jenner‘s case means lots and lots of gold jewelry and two burly bodyguards.
Kate Bosworth and Michael Polish should win the prize for cutest Coachella couple. They look so sweet you almost don’t notice Kate’s braided center part or her awesome-but-probably-very-hot jacket.
Rihanna must have found it very cold at Coachella. First she wore that massive purple fur coat, then she wore this printed blanket poncho and coordinating pants. Hopefully that massive chest piece is helping keep the chills at bay.
It’s not too late to give out another adorable couple award, is it? Ariel Winter and her boyfriend Laurent went for coordinating black tops and blue bottoms. They didn’t bother accessorizing with fifty bracelets and body glitter, they kept things simple and looked so sweet.
Alessandra Ambrosio showed that it is essential that you coordinate your festival outfit with all of your (model) friends. Everyone has to have the right amount of fringe to make this look work. Plus, they must walk arm-in-arm for the entire weekend.
Sarah Hyland did what a lot of people do at music festivals, she wore 80% of the things in her jewelry box. She may be weighed down but the floral dress with contrasting yellow layer is cute.
Is there anything practical about model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid‘s miniature purse necklace? Nope. She should probably do Cody Simpson a favor and fashion some shoes and a larger bag out of his heavy poncho. The looks may be impractical, but they are rocking them.
Paris Hilton is going to wear the most flowy maxi dress of them all and nothing is going to stop her. You have to admire someone who wears seven yards of fabric and shoes embellished with sparkly bows to a muddy field.
Katy Perry went for a kitschy retro look instead of boho queen. She looks adorable but I bet her earlobes were burning at the end of the night from those disc-sized earrings.
Nikki Reed came up with a solution on how to wear a maxi dress and still show a bit of skin. She tied the hem of her dress in a knot. It’s also a good idea if it is very muddy and you don’t want your white dress to get ruined.

Amber Rose stuck with her signature fitted look on top but went for flowy, printed trousers. FYI: It is completely acceptable to wear sunglasses at night at Coachella.
Julianne Hough should off her new “kind” pink hair at the festival. The best festival accessory besides a pair of boots or a cute backpack is your phone. Nothing says “hippie” like making sure all your social media are updated frequently.
Nicky Hilton was all abut versatility. She could wear this outfit to the mall, boardwalk or the festival and it would work for all of them. She’ll also never have to worry about losing that metallic pink bag in the crowd.
You might have thought that Fergie was Kate Moss, but it’s okay, 70% of people at festivals are Kate Moss doppelgangers.
Kylie and Kendall Jenner look like they’re part of a Vogue spread. This is another example of why it’s important to coordinate your outfits. Too bad Kendall didn’t dye her hair turquoise too.
Model Behati Prinsloo knows that if you don’t think your floral necklace, jorts, floppy hat and bra top aren’t obvious enough, flash a peace sign and everyone will know you’re going for a hippie look.
Bella Thorne bravely went with an all-white look. Hopefully she has a towel in that bag so she could sit down without getting covered in grass stains.
