If you thought you already loved Dior, I’m about to rock your world. The storied fashion house recently launched a new shoe, the Dioressence, and it’s the literal epitome of classic. According to Footwear News, the good people at Dior “reinterpreted its classic heel from Dior’s spring 1959 collection with modern updates and fresh colors,” and the results are stunning. Just look at these bad boys:
The range of colors suggests that there’s a Dior pump for every single day, outfit, or mood, and the shape and style of the heel offer seemingly endless height and elongated legs. Basically, it’s the perfect high heel. The catch? They’re only available for purchase in Dior boutiques (as is the case with the majority of Dior shoes), and they range in price from $660 to $710. So, you know, not exactly within any normal woman’s budget.
But I’m not without a solution! Bright, classic stilettos are a wardrobe staples, and while the ones we own may never stand up to a Dior (few things do), there are still plenty of beautiful options out there for under $100. Here are a few:
Hunter green is insanely on-trend right now, and it’s a great neutral dark alternative to your standard black.
The spike detail on the back of this pump adds a little extra edge to an otherwise classic staple.
Don’t pretend you haven’t been pining for a pair of bright blue stilettos ever since Big proposed to Carrie Bradshaw with one.
Are you and all-black-everything kind of girl? Yellow shoes are a fun way to add an unexpected pop of vibrant color.
Anyone who’s ever owned a Barbie secretly loves these.
Just like every woman needs a pair of black stilettos, every woman needs a pair of nude pumps. Now, you’re “nude” may be a different shade than this light cream, but just go for whatever works for you.
Floral shoes from spring might not be groundbreaking, but they are adorable.
Suede stilettos are a great choice for winter. Just make sure you properly waterproof them if you’re going out in an area that gets a lot of snow or sidewalk salt.
These are bold in the best possible way.
Everyone needs a pair of wine-colored shoes to match their favorite wine-colored lipstick or nail polish, right?
