WWD spoke with Vogue Paris’ new editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt and she comes off as pretty awesome. She talks about changing the magazine’s direction, focusing more on clothes (crazy, right?) and reviving a certain femininity gone from the magazine’s pages. However, there’s one thing she won’t be changing: French Vogue‘s nipple count.

Flicking through a binder showing off a shoot of Anja Rubik by Hans Feurer, Alt arrived at a page of the model reclining, her blouse open and a nipple in plain sight. “One boob,” she said, holding up a finger and flashing a big smile: “Otherwise, you don’t recognize it’s French Vogue.”

I’m looking forward to Alt’s work for the magazine, especially now that’s she established she has a sense of humor.
