Last night, ELLE’s Annual Women in Television Celebration was held at Sunset Tower in West Hollywood. The event recognizes women who are making it work on TV, so tons of your (or our, at least) favorite famous human beings were there. And they looked rather great! From Zooey Deschanel and Malin Akerman to Mindy Kaling and Emmy Rossum, the lineup was pretty excellent.
ELLE Editor-in-Chief Robbie Myers looked stunning, as one would expect. Perfect cut, perfect fit, and perfect hairstyle to complete the look. Is she channeling a Brigitte Bardot vibe or is that just me?
Oh, Joel McHale. I love you so. I am admittedly a bit envious of Sarah McHale, but at least she’s awesome so it eases the pain.
I’m digging the design of Suits‘ Sarah Rafferty‘s dress a lot.
Lydia Hearst makes me unbelievably cold just looking at her wearing what I assume is a Batman-inspired red carpet bathing suit. I’m also just not a big fan of that material; it looks much cheaper than (I assume) it costs.
I’m not even sure why I love Constance Zimmer‘s dress so much.
Seriously, it looks like there are strips of duct tape on the back, and yet I think it is the cutest.
Emily Wickersham looked dressed up in a Coachella way. Is Coachellegant a thing?
I really like Tracee Ellis Ross‘ simple look with her bouncy, touchable curls. Of course, being the daughter of Diana Ross means you have a certain instinct about how to look good no matter what, forever and ever.
Eh, I’m not crazy about Maria Menounos and Giada De Laurentis‘ looks. They remind me of outfits I designed as a kid for my Barbie dolls so I could live vicariously through them when my mom told me crop tops were out of the question.
How very Forever 21 of you, Bella Thorne.
Molly Sims‘ dress is having an identity crisis.
I do not hate Jenna Dewan-Tatum‘s dress, but I don’t think it was appropriate for this occasion. She looks like she is going to prom.
Emma Roberts did her typical Emma Roberts thing.
Now, for the stunning ladies of Orange Is The New Black, as well as Mindy Kaling and Zooey Deschanel.
Orange Is The New Black’s Samira Wiley takes an early lead as my favorite use floral in 2014.
How cute does Emmy Rossum look with her pointed pumps and her pretty white dress? I don’t love the center cutouts, but for some reason, because they’re subtle, it works all right.
Oh hey, Zooey. I’m pretty crazy about this look.
Speaking of “the cutest,” OITNB‘s Uzo Aduba looked fun, playful and elegant, as well, though I wish she had added a belt or some other accessory toward the middle.
Not super into Malin Akerman‘s look; the hair is too tight, the sandals are too strappy, and I don’t like the red dress-pink lipstick combo.
We will always love you, Mindy Kaling. This is something I would wear in a heartbeat.
I kind of love this thing Kiernan Shipka wore, though lately, I think she just tends to do everything right on the red carpet.
Laverne Cox‘s dress fit perfectly, simultaneously looking both dressed up and carefree with gorgeous makeup and flowing hair. I think she could probably bring back center parts singlehandedly.
I’ll finish this up the right way: with four of the OITNB ladies all glammed up in one shot.
