The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro star Emma Stone has been on a roll lately. Due to the highly-anticipated movie’s upcoming May 2 release date, she and costar/not-so-secret boyfriend Andrew Garfield have been on a wild ride of premieres, promotional interviews, and press events. We recently saw her in London rocking a bright yellow custom Atalier Versace dress with soft, old-Hollywood-glamour waves. Then, in Paris, she donned a Lanvin dress that looked like the hottest garbage bag ever. While in Rome on Monday to promote the film to Italian audiences, Ms. Stone wore a totally different type of outfit–and it was just as successful as the others.
This time, Emma picked a gorgeous iridescent palette for her look, wearing a stunning full-length Valentino skirt with a sheer shirt, also from Valentino. While many outfits that reveal your bra are best left for Saturday nights on the Lower East Side, Emma’s black triangle bra does not look remotely out of place here. And that giant bow? Normally, I would consider an embellishment that large to be ostentatious, but just as with the bra, it fits into the overall look beautifully.
Plus, her pretty red hair was pulled into the perfect low chignon.
It’s definitely not your typical red carpet look, and that is a-okay by us. This is a perfect example of how celebrities can avoid being boring while still maintaining a sense of unique style. You don’t need to add five cutouts and a crop top to make things exciting; you just need to raid Emma Stone’s wardrobe and then ask her stylist to turn your findings into perfection.
OH, and as a side note, just look at this picture. I realize it’s the lighting, the flash, yadda yadda yadda, but she’s glowing and it looks fantastic.
