Last year, I had the honor of attending the inaugural G(irls)20 Summit, an event where young women from around the world met just before the G20 to discuss global women’s issues. (If you missed it, you can read all about it here.) The T-shirts for the event were created by designer Tu Ly, and he’s back at the helm this year. However, there’s one change – now, one lucky entrant will get to help Ly design the shirt for 2011’s summit.
To enter, you don’t need to be a fashion designer. All you have to do is sign up on the Girls and Women website. When you do that, you’ll be assigned a number – the summit’s theme is “What’s Your Number?” and is designed to acknowledge the millions of women and girls in the world – and automatically entered into the contest. The winner will have a one-on-one meeting with Ly to brainstorm concepts for next year’s shirt. For the time being, they’re only accepting entrants who live in Canada, but we’ll keep you posted on future updates.
