Milan Fashion Week Menswear Spring/Summer 2014

When we first saw photos of a naked man interrupting Dolce and Gabbana‘s Milan runway show a few days ago, we had a lot of questions. Who was this streaker? Why did he do it? What did he do when he wasn’t streaking? Did he do it for fame, or purely for the chance to feel fashion-infused air gently caress his balls?

Now, Fashionista has obtained an interview with writer Jakob Haupt, one the the streaker’s associates, to shed some light on these questions. As it turns out, the streaker, who is aptly named “Miky the Streaker,” was operating on behalf of a German men’s fashion/lifestyle blog called Dandy Diary, which has the dubious honor of being the most sued fashion blog in the world, according to it. Further facts divulged by DD writer Haupt include:

-They’d been planning the stunt for over six months.

-They did it to turn the tables and use a major fashion brand to market a blog, instead of the other way around:

“Choosing Italian brand Dolce & Gabbana’s fashion show wasn’t coincidental. In 2009, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were the first ones to allocate first-row seats to bloggers–thus turning them into subsequent marketing tools. This strategy has now been reversed: Dandy Diary used the Dolce & Gabbana show to make visible our radical interpretation of fusing sports and fashion.”

(See below video to find out what he means by “fusing sports and fashion.”)

-The streaker got into the show using the name of a German fashion editor “of whom we knew would come to the show.” The videographer got in by buying a ticket off a random attendee for 200 euros.

-When not streaking, Haupt says Miky the Streaker “works in a regular office job, wears a suit and tie…Let’s say he is in the sales business. He’s in his mid-20s and lives here in Berlin.” Just your classic Clark Kent/Superstreaker situation.

-The designers seem to be taking it well; Stefano Gabbana Instagrammed a photo of the streaker, and Dandy Diary has offered to take him and Dolce out for a drink.

-Security was “pretty easygoing” about the whole thing, laughing with Miky and letting him go after a few minutes.

-DD portrayed the streaking as a “goooooooooaaaaaall!” of sorts, which dovetails nicely with Germany and Italy’s culture of soccer craziness:
