I’ve grown tired of pretending that Friday Style Icon is anything more than Fashion & Things Nebulously Related To Stuff We Liked In The ’90s, but that’s much too wordy for a headline and until people start Googling what they really mean (“is it a good idea to microwave a cat?”) the name stays. All that being said, one of my favorite guilty pleasures from the ’90s (or any decade) is Cruel Intentions.

First of all, Buffy herself Sarah Michelle Geller played a spoiled, nasty, manipulative cokehead with ridiculously awesome taste in clothes. In addition to Geller, virtually every member of the cast was pages-of-Twist-magazine-hot: Ryan Phillippe, Selma Blair, Reese Witherspoon, Joshua Jackson, Tara Reid, etc. Also, the soundtrack features one excellent use of The Verve’s “Bittersweet Symphony” and one obnoxious use of “Colorblind” by the Counting Crows that still remains the only song many annoying girls know on the piano.

Anyway, Cruel Intentions ruled. Here’s our gallery.
