If all of the new campaigns coming out weren’t giving you spring vibes just yet, then hold on tight, because you’re about to get shot into the days of flowers and warmer weather at the speed of…fashion? I don’t know. I’m trying to come up with a fun, clever way to tell you all about how Gemma Ward is the new face of Free People‘s spring campaign, but it’s just not working. So there you go. There’s the news. I hope you’re happy.

Seriously, though, I’m pretty stoked on this campaign, especially because it’s kind of been a while since we’ve seen Gemma do much of anything, modeling-wise. Sure, she opened Prada‘s spring show back in 2014, and she’s been seen in both Givenchy‘s spring 2016 campaign and on the Calvin Klein runway at Milan Fashion Week, but outside of those three major things, Gemma’s pretty much kept things local, taking jobs in Australia where she doesn’t need to be too far away from her family.

That’s part of why this campaign is so exciting. Since it was shot in Australia, I’m sure some kind of compromise was made between Gemma and the clothing brand, it just so happens that Australia perfectly captures laid-back vibe the Free People’s clothes give off. I mean, one look at some of these campaign photos will tell you that the model, the brand, and the location are a match made in heaven:

The photos feature relaxed off-the-shoulder tops, flowy dresses and maxi skirts, and plenty of loose braids and messy waves. It’s enough to make anyone want to quit their jobs and spend the warmer months down under.

Suffice it to say, I’m so done with winter. Bring on the sunny days!
