Last night, Glamour‘s 23rd annual Women of the Year Awards took place in New York, drawing out some famous women from rather disparate industries: from the show business side came Lady Gaga, Lena Dunham, and Lily Collins; from fashion, models like Karlie Kloss and Coco Rocha; from activism, Liya Kebede and Malala Yousafzai. Here’s the red carpet.
First up, the forever-beautiful Christy Turlington-Burns.
This was really an event for simple black looks with personal touches–here, America Ferrera adds satin-y peeptoes.
Coco Rocha adds a fur vest.
Iman wore a roomy suit with colorful accessories.
Kloss’ shoulder seems to be secreting something metallic.
Dunham, also in black.
Kebede (who is mostly retired from modeling but does big ticket jobs every year or so) did a Studio 54 thing.
Yousafzai apparently stole the show.
Though not in black, Rose Byrne kept things pretty low-key in this deep red Jonathan Saunders.
Marina Abramovic and Lady Gaga.
Shhhh! They’re probably making art right now.
A close-up. Also of note: Gaga apparently lambasted Glamour for retouching her recent cover too much.
