While the Spring 2014 collections have been a little same-y, they’ve brought a lot of fun, eye-catching, wearable accessories. See, for example, our roundup of the many delightful shoes.
Now, of course, it’s time for handbags. Graphic black and white was the reason for the season at NYFW–a huge portion of the bags we saw played with contrasting stripes, geometric details and houndstooth.
Rounding out the rest of the styles were some pretty Spring neutrals, exotic skins and textures, preppy shapes, shades along the lines of the same color trends we saw in the clothes, and a few dazzling novelties here and there. Let’s take a closer look…
Jason Wu‘s pale pink ladylike bag.
Citrus and metal at Rebecca Minkoff.
Embossed croc at rag & bone.
A textured clutch at Helmut Lang.
Speaking of texture–Oscar de la Renta.
Really like this stone crossbody at Natalie Ratabesi.
Clever details in contrasting skins at Yigal Azrouel.
A charming cube at Creatures of Comfort.

Sharp minimalism at Victoria Beckham.
A glittery apple at Giulietta.

At Jenny Packham, the models carried delicately ruffled clutches in different shades for a flower effect–this dark teal was our favorite.
