If this isn’t the nadir of a good-thing-turned-unfortunate-fad, we don’t know what is: Gucci has entered the sustainable footwear market. Ceative director Frida Giannini has designed a capsule collection under the banner of “Sustainable Soles,” which includes ballerina flats for women and sneakers (high and low top) for men. Don’t worry, though, they will all boast prominent Gucci logos.

Basically, a comically unsubtle knock-off of the recycled plastic shoes Melissa has been making for years now.

You can buy them at the end of June.
