H&M is switching things up for their spring campaign this year. Rather than just showing off the pieces like so many brands do (and H&M often does), they’re offering up some serious street style inspiration, too. The shots in the campaign could easily find a home in our Fashion Week street style posts, and they’re the perfect place to look for that little extra help you need when getting dressed some mornings.
The photos are, of course, all color-coordinated, because what’s life without a little organization?
The whole spring collection is a little bit Coachella-esque, though it’s got nothing on the Coachella-specific collection the retailer rolls out every year. There are tassels, fringe, rope belts, patchwork, and spring-friendly brights and pastels galore:
Oh yeah, and did I mention that there are some lace-up suede sandals in copper, a.k.a. the color I’m convinced will be 2016’s It Color for Spring?
I have to admit that some of these more elaborate accessories might not be for everyone, but they’re definitely different from what we’re used to seeing H&M. There’s something about these looks that feels separate and apart from its fast fashion brethren—it just feels more runway-ready, you know?
Off-the-shoulder tops and dresses are also going to be a major trend for Spring, which is something I’m particularly excited about. I’m rarely able to take style cues from supermodel types like Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid because I’m a real-life human potato, but their frequent use of the simple black off-the-shoulder top gives me such intense Grease vibes that I’ve been looking for one of my own.
The whole collection, which lands in stores and online on March 17, features tops, skirts, dresses, high-waisted denim, bags, shoes, and accessories, so if you’ve been looking to re-stock your spring wardrobe, H&M’s bound to have pieces for you.
