Let’s say you’re a Republican running for office in Illinois. Let’s say you really hate the former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich (who was a Democrat, btw) and want to make sure people vote for someone from your party. How can you do that? “TV commercials,” you might say. “Debates and town halls!” Those are lovely suggestions, but they’re just not enough.

Luckily, the Illinois Republican Party has an idea: they’ve launched a T-shirt line called “BlagoWear,” which lampoons the former Governor’s famously bad hair alongside his famously dumb actions. T-shirts emblazoned with “Unplug the Machine” (a reference to Illinois’ Democratic party “machine”) feature a cartoon caricature of Blagojevich. You can also buy aprons, hats, tote bags, wall clocks, bumper stickers, and whatever else CafePress will allow the makers to slap their logo on.

Frankly, I’m not one for politics but I hated the guy so much on Celebrity Apprentice that I actually considered unplugging my TV, so this is still relevant for me.
