Blue Monday may have come and gone but the winter weather is still making many of us feel a bit down. Spring still seems a long time away when we’re out in the bitter cold winds. If you’re looking for something to cheer you up, look no further than J.Crew‘s latest collaboration. The brand has teamed up with Instagram favorite @TheFlowerGuy, aka Michael De Feo, for a collection that will have you dreaming of spring.
If you’ve ever scrolled through Michael’s dreamy Instagram feed, you will know that he’s known for painting pretty floral designs in unexpected places. Think magazine covers and on jackets. He also collaborated with J.Crew on ad two years ago. Now, he’s bringing his signature bright prints to the brand once again, but this time he’s doing it with clothes.
I'm thrilled to announce, "Michael De Feo for J.Crew" – a selection of collaborative shirts born out of my street-level takeover of a J. Crew advertisement in NYC almost two years ago. Click the link in my bio for a behind-the-scenes look at the process and the shirts in the line. Pictured here is our Striped T-Shirt with Painted Flowers. Thanks for looking!
The Michael De Feo for J.Crew collection features a mix of J.Crew’s classic T-shirts that have been given the “Flower Guy” twist. Plain and striped T-shirts have been decorated with his colorful patterns to create comfy T-shirts that you will want to live in starting now and into the summer.
The three T-shirts in the collection are available to shop right now on the J.Crew website and they range in price from $40 to $50. Considering that it’s not uncommon for a bouquet of flowers to cost that much, the tees are well worth it. Especially when you add in the fact that you get to take home a piece of wearable art that will get you through these final few months of winter.
