> on January 14, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.Y’all know I love a good crop top and occasionally the rare good cutout dress, but there are times with the crop has got to stop. And my inability to hold back on rhyming–that probably needs to stop, too, but first the whack crop tops have got to go. Namely, this bizarre pseudo-crop top/cutout dress thing Jennifer Aniston picked for the Los Angeles premiere of Cake.

> on January 14, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.I don’t get it. This Giambattista Valli frock not only looks ill-fitting, it also seems way too young for her. And I do not mean that in a “women in their forties can’t wear sexy clothes,” because we all know that is absolutely untrue; I mean it in a “this belongs on a third grader’s doll for a tea party” way. It also appears as though it’s supposed to frame her belly button but narrowly misses the mark, making this likely to be Taylor Swift‘s next elusive navel look.

Perhaps Jen is looking to change up her image after that oh-so-brave stint not wearing makeup around town for her role in Cake, or perhaps she just worked with a sub-par stylist for this particular event. On the bright side, her hair and makeup do look great (and so glowing!), so that drastically improves the overall style here. But…but…no more cutouts, please. It’s 2015. There has to be some other way for you celebs to show your requisite red carpet skin.
