Two tone sunglasses are one of my top sunglasses trends for spring and summer 2010. There will be lots of pairings that mix prints with solids, metal with resin, and color with a contrasting or complimentary color.
The Chloe Myrte sunglasses that I wrote about a couple weeks ago are a classic example of the pairing of metal with resin. The original Chloe metal-tipped style is being replicated in similar styles now by every designer!
Another great option for the tw0-tone style is the Shades of Couture by Juicy Couture “Flawless” Two Tone Sunglasses. These have texture metal edges paired with colored resin frames. The pink/brown color option has a lovely rose that fades to dark brown at the center with shiny gold sides with a cross-hatch texture that wrap around to become thin metal temples. The pairing of metal and resin works great in this design.
Tortoiseshell is my absolute favorite sunglasses color for the season, so I am obviously loving the tortoise option that also has the texture shiny gold along the sides. Gold works perfectly with tortoiseshell so it’s such a great use of the mixed materials…
