Now that Christmas and New Year’s Eve are officially over, everyone is already looking ahead to spring. (Don’t worry, we won’t forget to talk about Valentine’s Day.) The spring 2016 ad campaigns are coming out, and they’re making us dream of warmer weather. Louis Vuitton released a surprising campaign featuring Lighting, a Final Fantasy character, and now Topshop has released its new campaign featuring supermodel Karlie Kloss.
Topshop campaigns always feature the coolest models. Cara Delevingne stared in their holiday campaign last year, and you probably remember Gigi Hadid‘s recent ad campaign. Plus, this year’s holiday campaign featured all of the supermodels-in-the-making including Bella Hadid and Malika Firth. Karlie is the perfect fit for the spring 2016 campaign, and she looks stunning in the ads, just as she does in pretty much every photo she takes.
Topshop’s spring 2016 ad campaign was shot by Tyrone Lebone and features Karlie in some clothes that you will want to put on your spring shopping list ASAP. Think formfitting dresses, a trench with cropped coordinates, a plaid shirt and a black leather jacket, and a striped breton top and jeans. She even channels Grease‘s Pink Ladies in a pale pink jacket with her name embroidered on it and leather pants.
The new ad campaign photos are also accompanied by an interview with Karlie about how you can be more like her in 2016. It seems like it’s a very good New Year’s resolution to try and be more like Karlie this year given that she is a supermodel, entrepreneur, coder, foodie, and much more. You also cannot forget that she is part of Taylor Swift‘s squad.
For those of you who have a good memory, you will know that this is not Karlie’s first Topshop campaign. Karlie explains in the interview that one of her first modeling jobs was a Topshop campaign she shot eight years ago with fellow supermodel Jourdan Dunn. Her grandma flew with her from St. Louis and she said she was very nervous, but Jourdan made her laugh the entire time they shot it. Awww.
Fast forward countless magazine covers, ad campaigns, commercials, and fashion shows later, and it is great to see Karlie back as the face of Topshop. Hopefully, they will get her and Jourdan for the next campaign for a nostalgic vibe. And maybe then can also throw in Taylor Swift because who would not want to see that? #squadgoals
