Kate Moss understands something about walking that perplexes all of us here at The Gloss, and her super secret knowledge empowers her to make getting bored in a taxi and walking the rest of the way the sexiest thing we’ve seen in a while.

Stuart Weitzman‘s fall campaign features a rumpled Moss walking through London in multiple pairs of thigh-high boots, turning heads and looking perfectly insouciant. The marketing team made an exceptionally novel musical decision, and play Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walkin'” throughout the duration of the ad. We need a new song written about boots. As my colleague Joanna Rafael put it:

“I love Nancy Sinatra as much as the next idiot, but if people don’t stop with the references to her song every time someone wears boots, I’m going to curb stomp myself.”

I’ve never been one to wear thigh high boots because something about it makes me look like a librarian who thought she’d try out casual streetwalking for an afternoon, but they’re undeniably sexy when done right. The pairs shown in this campaign have a nice balance of bad ass solidity and classic shapes. Or maybe Kate Moss just wears them exceptionally well.

I also just realized I’ve never heard Kate Moss speak until now, and her voice was less husky than I expected. Are you as into Moss’ walking skills as we are? Watch the video and let us know.
