Scandal star Kerry Washington‘s magazine covers are always something else (well, except for that one time InStyle Photoshopped her to high hell), so it should come as no surprise when I tell you that her April 2016 ELLE Magazine cover is simply beautiful. You might be surprised to learn, though, that it doesn’t exactly follow the same pattern of many of its predecessors. This cover isn’t just a glamour shot. Rather, it’s a real (and I mean real) shoot, and it’s something you’re going to want to emulate as soon as you can find an empty beach.

Since seeing is believing, just take a look at Kerry’s cover:

I…kind of love it? There’s something about this cover that just feels different from so many other ones that have come out lately. It’s not so stereotypically pretty or starkly high-fashion—it has more of a natural, editorial feel to it, like it’s something that anyone could recreate on her own.

And, as it turns out, you kind of can. PopSugar reports that the sweatshirt Kerry is wearing in this cover shot is Shinola Women’s Cassius Clay Sweatshirt, which you can purchase now for the not-exactly low price of $180. Considering the fact that the fashion sweatshirt is going to be just as big for spring as it was for fall, though, it might be worth the investment. After all, it’s one small hit on your wallet, one giant leap toward becoming Kerry Washington.
