The GQ Men Of The Year Awards‘ red carpet was a predictably sexy affair with lots of plunging necklines, sheer outfits and near wardrobe malfunctions, but Kim Kardashian‘s outfit was still the sexiest of them all, surprise, surprise. Instead of the expected thigh-high slit gown, Kim wore an Atsuko Kudo black latex bodysuit under a custom sheer Ralph & Russo embellished skirt. Other celebrities could have walked the carpet exposing their nipples and I’m sure that Kim’s ensemble would still have been the most talked about of the right.
Kim’s outfit is what I would call 50 Shades Of Grey couture. It has the perfect mix of OTT sexiness, a hint of bondage, tons of cleavage, sparkle and probably costs $15,000. It is hot and haute. It’s so her, that this is what I would have expected her to wear to her wedding. Speaking of her marriage, Kanye West accompanied Kim, and clearly loved the look, because he helped her fix her skirt when she was posing on the red carpet:
That is true love. I bet he helped picked it out too. Other people must have been enamored with Kim’s look too because she ended up receiving Pharrell‘s award instead of hers for the Woman Of The Year. (They can blame the order switching, but I know it’s because everyone was dazzled by Kim’s dress and couldn’t take their eyes off her boobs, or the shiny skirt.)
As for Kim’s hair and makeup, they are flawless, as always. I like that she didn’t choose a dark lipstick, and kept with her signature neutral lip. Her hair is also a bit shorter, and styled in a messy bedhead look which is a nice contrast to her outfit.
I thought sales of sexxxy fetish wear would increase when the 50 Shades Of Grey movie is finally released, but there will probably be a hike in sales thanks to Kim’s dress. If bondage wear becomes mainstream, we should all be happy that it’s fall, because wearing a latex bodysuit in the July sun would not be good.
