Since her first red carpet for Panic Room, to her countless fashion campaigns, our love for Kristen Stewart has only increased over the years. She always looks so cool and like she is dressing for no one but herself. (See how she works a tee like no one else on the red carpet.) While we always look forward to seeing the latest and greatest thing Kristen is going to be wearing, there are some older looks we still love as much as the new stuff. There are outfits from the Twilight days and even before Bella and Edward that we still want to copy.
Take a look at some of Kristen Stewart’s best throwback looks:
Kristen is known for changing into sneakers are walking the red carpet, but it is even better when she wears them on the carpet. Her Converse sneakers contrast her intricate red dress perfectly.
If given the opportunity to travel back in time and go to prom, a lot of people would copy this look. The dress has a traditional fit-and-flare silhouette but the contrasting embellishment and sheerness add some edge. Kristen’s tousled hair is also waaaay better than a crispy updo.
Remember when Kristen was blonde? The hair works and so does the outfit. This is a more girly look for her, but it still looks very cool. Even in 2007, she had already perfect the smize.
One of the great things about K-Stew is that she doesn’t always default to wearing a dress to events. She showed that this printed top and textured skirt could work just as well. They still feel appropriate but they are more interesting.
5. Oscars, 2010
This was Kristen’s first awards show season red carpet appearance. What a way to make an entrance. The gown may be in a dark color, but the dramatic silhouette guaranteed that all eyes would be on her.

Kristen has a knack for making everything look effortless. You wouldn’t normally call a form-fitting metallic dress effortless, but Kristen makes this one look it. You can credit the chunky shoes or the easy pony, but it’s also just down to her being so cool.
If you’re going to wear a LBD, wear one that isn’t like all of the others. The chain detail on Kristen’s black dress takes it to another level. She wisely kept the rest of her accessories simple to let the detail be the focus.
Here’s another occasion when Kristen made a strong case for a unique little black dress. Black dresses can lose their detail in photos, but the embellishment on Kristen’s photographs well. The auburn hair was also a great beauty look.
Take a look at that skirt. This is a look that may not have worked outside of an editorial. We don’t know how Kristen was able to sit in it, but at least she pulled it off on the red carpet. The simple white tank top underneath made it feel like we could actually pull off something like this too.
Who says that you need to stick with just one metallic? Kristen’s strapless dress has gold, silver, pewter and ivory. She’s balanced the statement dress with her peep-toe shoes and soft makeup.
Awww, it’s the entire Twilight gang. Kristen’s simple ivory dress was a fantastic choice for one of her first appearances to promote the franchise. It felt like something that Bella would wear, but Kristen has styled it in a way that is very her.
Everyone loves a long, dramatic gown at awards shows, but there is something to be said about short ones. Kristen’s little white and beige dress was unexpected and so were the coordinating shoes. She turned heads for all the right reasons with this look. It was a moment when people knew she was going to be someone we should be paying attention to on the red carpet.
